Sarah Donnini, LCSW

Sarah is a licensed clinical social worker who provides individual therapy, skills training and treatment consultation. Sarah treats adolescents and adults suffering from mood dysregulation, anxiety, and trauma disorders. She is intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and DBT-PE. She has additional training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Mentalization-Based Therapy (MBT).
Sarah grew up in a small beach town on the gulf coast of Florida and completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Women’s Studies at the University of Central Florida. She went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Georgia. Her past work experience includes child and adolescent case management in a behavioral health setting. Additionally, she has worked as a behavior training specialist for children and adolescents diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders.
Sarah came to Peachtree DBT in 2012. Since then, she has facilitated program and curriculum development for the DBT Skills Classes and the programming for treating trauma and anxiety disorders. She has been an integral part of developing the Community Support After Suicide support group and community outreach for suicide postvention work. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). Sarah’s approach to therapy encompasses a down to earth style while maintaining a direct focus on treatment goals for her clients.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys quality time with her family and friends, listening to podcasts, and reading. Sarah is passionate about the impact of exercise on women’s mental health and enjoys pilates, yoga, and strength training.
